EBS was founded as EBS Insurance Brokers, Inc in 1997 by Paul J. Rooney as a full service insurance brokerage and consulting firm. Our mission & Philosophy is to understand our clients’ business objectives and goals in order to identify the most competitive Employee Benefit and Retirement Plan Programs available to support those objectives.

Located in the Greater Boston area since our inception in 1997, EBS designs, administers and negotiates benefit programs on behalf of its clients. Our team carefully learns your business so we can serve as a knowledgeable extension of your risk management and HR functions, partnering with you to help you achieve your employee benefits objectives. Our goal is to keep you current with federal regulations in areas such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, IRS Section 125, FMLA and state regulations. If we find you have compliance gaps, we will help you implement the necessary procedures to close those gaps as we provide legal and compliance solutions whenever you are in need.

By analyzing claims data to identify the health issues driving plan costs we can develop population health management strategies that work for you and your employees. Here at EBS we have a dedicated Director of Wellness and Population Health to assist with program planning, wellness initiatives and resources.
